In the end fortunately we found iflyMSC, an API developed that supports both Chinese and English, which is exactly what we were looking for. We then tried the speech to text SDK by OpenEars but it does not recognize English and Chinese voice input at the same time. We initially used SpeechKit by Apple but the accuracy of speech to text trasncription was not satisfactory, especially in noisy background. We chose iflyMSC as our main speech recognition API for SoundNote for the following reasons.
